It has been nearly 6 months since the launch of OpenAI's ChatGPT. In fact, the company has recently released ChatGPT 4. This AI-powered language model has taken the world by storm, bringing us to a new level of technological advancement.

ChatGPT is a language model powered by AI that is capable of performing a wide range of tasks, including language translation, summarizing information, and answering questions. Its exceptional capabilities have garnered significant attention, leading many people to question their own job security.

The GPT-4 language processing model has the ability to analyze massive amounts of data and generate content based on its findings. Moreover, this new technology can analyze large volumes of text and present consumers with information related to a specific data point.

Undoubtedly, technology is here to stay, benefiting users in countless ways. It has demonstrated its ability to perform tasks ranging from scriptwriting to solving complex question papers. There is virtually nothing that ChatGPT cannot accomplish. However, there are certain challenges that even ChatGPT faces.

1. The AI-powered ChatGPT faced a setback when it struggled to pass the highly competitive Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in India. The JEE is renowned for its difficulty and attracts thousands of students each year who aspire to gain admission to the most prestigious engineering schools in India. This quantitative exam involves intricate diagrams and numerical problems.

Students aiming for top educational institutions like IITs and NITs must first pass the Joint Entrance Test. According to reports, ChatGPT did not perform well in the JEE Advanced exam.

ChatGPT's performance in the test was unsatisfactory as it was only able to solve 11 out of the total number of questions.

2. Despite its setback in the JEE Advanced exam, ChatGPT has performed exceptionally well in several other prominent and challenging tests. Impressively, it attempted and successfully answered all 200 questions in the National Eligibility and Admission Examination for Medical Colleges (NEET), where candidates need to answer 180 out of 200 questions.

Although ChatGPT attempted all 200 questions, it scored 359 out of 800. Specifically, it excelled in the Biology component of the NEET test, demonstrating higher accuracy in answering questions from that section. ChatGPT's performance in the NEET test indicates its potential to excel in other domains, despite not passing the JEE Advanced exam.

ChatGPT's defeat in the JEE Advanced test emphasizes the limitations inherent in even the most advanced AI models. While artificial intelligence has the potential to disrupt various industries, it still has a long way to go before it can compete with human intelligence in difficult tasks.

OpenAI's chatbot ChatGPT has faced another setback in a competitive examination.

3. At the request of Analytics India Magazine (AIM), ChatGPT took the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam. The UPSC exam is considered one of the toughest competitive exams globally, with over 10 lakh aspirants appearing for it each year, but only 5% of them succeeding.

AIM provided ChatGPT with 100 questions from the UPSC Prelims 2022.

ChatGPT performed poorly in the UPSC Prelims 2022 exam, scoring a mere 54 out of 100 on Question Paper 1 (Set A), while the required score was 87.54. This indicates that ChatGPT did not pass the UPSC test.

The questions covered topics such as Indian general science, history, geography, economics, ecology, and current events. ChatGPT did well with questions related to locations and economies but struggled when asked about historical events before 2021.

The fact that ChatGPT's dataset only extends to 2021 is likely the reason why it couldn't correctly answer all the exam questions.

4. Similarly, ChatGPT's performance in the CLAT exam was above average. During the CLAT UG exam, the AI tool accurately solved only 50.83 percent of the questions. It struggled particularly in the logic and quantitative question categories but performed exceptionally well in the English and Current Affairs categories. Questions based on concepts proved to be a significant challenge for this tool.

Since its release in November 2022, ChatGPT has been performing well in the United States. This AI technology has successfully passed the United States Medical Licensing Test (USMLE) and various MBA exams. Additionally, it has passed the Google Coding Interviews for Level 3 Engineers.

Veterinary professionals were recently amazed when ChatGPT accurately diagnosed a dog's condition and saved its life.

However, several countries now have contrasting views on ChatGPT and are prepared to take strong action against this new innovation. Germany and Italy, in particular, have banned this technology, citing concerns about inappropriate content exposure to minors due to the lack of an age verification system implemented by OpenAI.

Ulrich Kelber, the German data protection commissioner, has issued a warning that Chat-GPT may face a potential ban in Germany due to concerns about users' data security, similar to what happened in Italy.

Let's see how artificial intelligence-powered technology will continue to evolve in the future.
